The Oldest Meditation Practice In Buddhism

If we translate Vipassana to the common language, it can be translated as insight meditation. It is the oldest meditation practice of the Buddhist people. A Sri Lankan Buddhist monk wrote this thing and provided the required amount of proof for it in a blog. If we follow the words of Gunaratana, the vipassana has its origin in the foundation of mindfulness. Gautam Buddha taught this technique to his disciples by himself.

Vipassana is a coded meditation system. This is done to train the mind of a person. Besides that, it is added with some exercises. These exercises are dedicated to making a person more aware of the experiences of his life. The main reason behind this coded form of meditation is learning to see the truth. It is not like the lie detector machine though. It does not seek the truth behind the silly lies of our lives. But it helps us to get identified with the selflessness and to overcome the unsatisfaction of our lives.

Firstly, you need to choose a quiet place. The person should sit quietly and try to breathe properly. keep your posture straight as bad posture can harm the body. Loosen your body and count to ten while focusing on your breath. Once you feel relaxed start practicing. According to many yoga gurus, breathing is an important component of meditation. The benefit of mindfulness is important.it helps us to release negative energy like anger, delusion, and greed.

It is very natural for the human mind to wander off from time to time. but it is important to keep a check. Just by following a simple breathing exercise we can connect to your former self.

It is a gentle technique of meditation. Though it is simple but it is a thorough technique. If you follow different books regarding Dhamma created by the Maurya Emperor Ashoka, you would see that it is a meditation based on observation. Furthermore, it leads to a journey to explore yourself. When you do this meditation, you have to focus on the connection between the body and mind while going within yourself. You can realize the connection by paying attention to the sensations on your body. Furthermore, you have to maintain your attitude while meditating as well. You have to surrender completely to God by forgetting the identity of yours. Moreover, you need to be queer about the mysteries of life. Only then you can succeed in Vipassana.
