Movement meditation is a way of meditation while moving the body. Some people hate to sit still for an extended period of time. Moving together in a mindful way is rather enjoyed by everyone.  One can fulfill any achievement when his/her mind is active. Movement meditation will help to gain power over the mind through movement.

Movement meditation is not about moving around or something. It helps to focus on your awareness an discipline. Even sitting still is a part of the training of this meditation.

Movement Meditation, Is It Okay For Everyone?

If one is suffering from any physical health problem then they should consult their doctor. It shouldn’t be done by someone with high blood pressure or someone suffering from back problems.

How To Perform It?

There is a definite stepwise manner one can follow. Let’s check the steps out.

Movement Meditation Needs Standing Straight

Apart from the feet as the hip-width and stand without moving yourself. Lose your knees a little. Open your chest comfortably and allow the arms to hung by the side. Make your head to be balanced on your shoulder and neck. Keep the eyes close. You don’t have to watch what’s happening outside at that time.

Feelings Of Sensation Will Happen At This Movement Meditation

Your own breath will create the sensation of your body. Feel the whole weight of your body in your feet. The areas which are tenser and feel uncomfortable. But don’t try to relax them just now.

Try To Move Your Arms Up And Down

Try to move your hands upward. Breath in normally in this step. Back the hands again while you breath out. You will feel the physical sensation in your arms. Repeat this step for about 10 to 15 times.

Moving The Arms Up-Out And In-Down Is The Next Step Of Movement Meditation

When you are breathing in, try to raise the arms in front of your body. When you are breathing out open them on the side. Again take a deep breath in and while breathing in bring the arms together in front. Down them, to the side while breathing out. Do this for 10 to 15 times like the previous steps.

Stretching of the arms is essential.

In this step raise the arms above the head and feel your body stretch. After a while, you will feel a little discomfort. Hold them like that for 10 seconds then bring them down. You will have an uncomfortable feeling for a bit. Try to relax the muscles. Repeat for at least 5 times. You don’t need to hold or check your breath.

Rotate Your Shoulder For A Better Result

Slowly rotate your arms in both directions several times. Feel the breathing and lose the tension.

Rotate The Head From Side By Side.

Gently rotate your head from side to side carefully. Be careful with this step. Shake your arms and leg to feel the sensation to the core body muscle.

Movement meditation is a very modern concept. Let this meditation bring you out from the depression you are trying to hide.
